Grounds Maintenance

Grounds Maintenance program provides lawn maintenance, pruning, herbicide and irrigation at Fairchild AFB, and the National Institute of Safety and Health in Spokane.  In addtion Skils'kin provides grounds maintenance services at Warren AFB in Cheyenne Wyoming.  

 At Fairchild we maintain:

• 214 Acres of Improved grass – mowed twice a week
  
• 1475 acres of Semi-improved fields; including 534 acres of fields around runways
  
• 30 acres of shrub beds
  
• 138 Irrigation Systems  -  Approx. 16,500 sprinklers
  
• 5000 Shrubs and 1500 Trees  pruned per year

During warmer seasons our grounds maintenance operation at Fairchild employs over 40 individuals with disabilities.

At Warren AFB, Cheyenne Wyoming we maintain:

• 360 acres of improved grounds
• 350 acres of semi-improved grounds 
• maintenance of trees, shrubs, and other plantings
• herbicide applications
• maintain irrigation system
• During the winter we perform snow removal on sidewalks
• maintain approximately 125 unoccupied housing units
